Crap...
Sunday afternoon. My dad's said that I'm picking up all the unhealthy phrases from the army and am using them. Like others don't? Sheesh. Excessive usage will most probably send me for counselling with the pastors...
OK, dammit. I've gotten too used to vulgarities now. It's like spouted out a dime a dozen back in Tekong. And corrupting my brain. So what can I do? "Sergeant... Cannot take vulgarities..." And get screwed upside down further?
I'm being plagued by financial problems too... 37 bucks on a platoon T-shirt (20) and a company T-shirt (17) for whatever the heck reason? Company level, well... 17 bucks for games day seems reasonable. But 20 more for a platoon one? I think that's absurd. When will I be wearing it? In the end I suppose it'll end up being used as a rag anyways, 20 bucks down the drain. I don't wanna spend anymore... Spent 19.50 on a pump for the company fish pond, waiting for the reimbursements... Have bought 2 so far but decided to donate the first one...
Basically I'm just griping about stuff in the army. What can I do? A buddy who refuses to be my buddy. Well. Screw him. The daunting task of improving from 0 to 8 chinups in like 3 weeks. Well. Screw that! Seriously. I don't wanna lead and army life no more. The next 2 years, sigh. Let's just go through with life as it is...
HECK.

5 more weeks to POP!~
Now, basically slack, slack and slack. BCCT's over. So is field camp. And SIT test. And grenades and live range. What's left? Trench digging on Tuesday... Then SIB each afternoon. Damn fun. What's SIB? For the uninformed, it means Sleeping in Bunk. Especially during the afternoons when there's nothing on from 1pm to 3pm. PAst few days been doing just that... Lolz. PT in the morning and evening, then nothing else much to gripe about...
Today's bookout was 1030. Not bad, considering SOC in the morning. And vastly relieved that it's just before the damn blardy Asian Aerospace between 11am and 1pm.
Screw the planes. Why can't they just seal off another road? Sigh.

This week...
Super siong... I'm super shagged... Seems like I'm repeating the statement all week... But well. A 10km route march today, sheesh... Tiring sia... Really buay tahan... Plus all the SOC and runs... Yesterday kena stomach cramps liao... Anyways, super happy! No more close combat training already...
Left SOC and IPPT... Changing my ideas about OCS for now... aiming for SISPEC first... Haha... And come out as a 3SG... Or if good enough can progress to 2SG. Maybe promotion to OCS even! BUt I still must build up my fitness, dammit...

SIT test week...
It's really crazy. Booking out at 8.30pm and booking in at 8.15pm the next day isn't exactly that nice at all.It basically sucks. Because of the blardy SIT test which caused me to kena sunburn... And nearly kena heat exhaustion.
Ah well... The SIT test has 12 missions spread out over 2 days, 6 and 6. From point A where mission 1 is, after completing it we move to point B where mission 2 is. Basically they're like 50m away from each other but we move in detours so that we cover at least 700m to get there. It's the SAF way of shagging us out to see if we can still think or not... Thank goodness for both missions where I was deployed to be an IC and a 2IC we managed to pass it... Feel very satisfied with myself.
Body aching all over... Darn... Wanna sleep but gotta wait for phone battery to drain first... ARGH.

Field camp...
OK lah... I shall now give a brief day-by-day account of the 5 day field camp...
Day 1: Fall in full battle order at 0545, then go for breakfast. Return to draw arms, blah blah, thank goodness Sergeant James store IC so we didn't have to route march to camp area but took the tonner and helped unload everything. To pitch the tents for instructors to sleep in, for medic to use, blah blah. Then it started raining. And all the mud appeared. Sigh. Lectures the whole day with camo cream on... Yucks. Powder bath wasn't that much fun either, stripping in the dark and trying to powder the whole body. Eeks. Building the darn basha (aka field shelter) wasn't that much fun either...
Day 2: Lectures with practicals... Nothing else much except camo cream on again... And proning and leopard crawling in the mud... Long 4s all dirty... NIght movement test on, thank goodness we did it OK otherwise day 3 would kena another one...
Day 3: Camo on again... Darn!~ Lectures morning, test afternoon. On how we can conceal ourselves and find good covers... Hate the bloody camo cream thoroughly. Rainy day again... Raining for the past 3 days. As I have mentioned, it's the blardy Gryphon curse... Thank goodness early morning could go back to company line for some dirty work and Sgt James let us take a dump there...
Day 4: Move camp area... Pack up everything and route march... Darn... So boring. Rained from 10 to 2 and my boots kena Nemo inside. i.e. soaked thoroughly with water. Yucks. And all the section drills to learn for the section battle drill course the next day... CAMO ON AGAIN...
Day 5: The real chionging starts... We head off for the battle course, and chop chop finish it in 1 shot, then head back to company line and start washing off all the mud... Darn... Slept at 11pm.
Saturday: 6km route march, full battle order... 0430 woke up liao. Maybe should have packed less stuff, nobody bothered to check anyways. And yet it was so darn heavy... Kena headache afterwards. Lack of sleep I guess... got home at around 2pm and slept from 3-7... Sheesh.
Field camp ah... Thank goodness it's over...

OK...
Let's face it. I'm shagged. And got a headache running on now... Next week's the SIT test to determine how high our OCS or SISPEC chances are... And I'm seriously not looking forward to it because it's outfield again...
After 5 days of field camp and all the mud, I'm just wondering why it rains just about all the time. Maybe it's the Gryphon curse. As what our PC says it always happens when Gryphon company goes for field camp... But SIT test is gonna be dry. I hope so. Dunwan all the darn mud again...
Been sleeping just about all the time... Aching all over... Imagine after the camp, a 6km route march the next day... And slept at 11pm, woke at 4.30am... The past 4 nights sleeping under a field shelter weren't that good, either... So for route march everyone got impatient with each other. Front guys too fast, back guys must run to catch up, people shouted at each other, then we all got screwed by our PC. Sigh. Hate this... Seriously...
I just hope we don't have to bring along the blardy rifle for field camp...
