Sunday...
Going out with my darlings, my baobeis was really really refreshing. Didn't mind that no 2 & no 3 went for a super duper hour long haircut, but still we all had fun together. (Or so I hope.) All the time fellowshipping, or maybe just gossiping, and talking crap, what a great way to hang out! It's made me realise how long I haven't spent much quality time with them, and that's rather bad of me...
Yeah. And though no 3's haircut got really way off, but well. I shan't comment much on it either. Heh. It's me spending time with my baobeis... Even though my other 2 darlings not there lah. Yeah... Must be them. Sarah and Maria, attending 2nd service... Must be they woke up late lah. Grrr. Just the 4 of us, walking around aimlessly, eating at Yoshinoya, no 1 & 2 buying bags (and I pay for it again...), and stoning and getting high... Well done.
I love them all. We're open enough to work out and differences within ourselves, and I guess that's one of the keys to having successful relationships!
Yeah... And it's their exam period coming up soon, followed by the Os at the end of the year for 2 & 3, Ns for 1, As for Sarah... Must support them morally and in prayer even more! STUDY STUDY STUDY, MUG MUG MUG... I shall continue nagging.
And Maria's going into poly soon. Waow.
Kelvin's out of poly and waiting to enlist. Even more waow.
Ian (Ho)'s my wife. The most waow.
The twins are gonna ORD.
I'm being crappy.
Signing off,
Joel.
Have a nice day!

God's been good.
No matter how terrible I've been. These 2-3 weeks have been rather rocky, and Friday culminated at me losing my temper really big time. And yesterday even as I lay on my bed pondering what on earth did I just do, God spoke in that still, soft voice of His. A whisper. Barely audible, but still good enough to be heard.
What did He say? "Corinthians. 4. 16." 1 or 2? "2". So today I went to check it out...
And basically it just cut me there and then. "Therefore we do not lose heart. Though outwardly we are wasting away, yet inwardly we are being renewed day by day. For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all. So we fix our eyes not on waht is seen, but on what is unseen. For what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal."
What a great God! The passage, 3 simple verses just seared in like a hot iron. What could be better than God saying, "Child, do not be discouraged, because these are just temporary things on earth"? And the succintness of it all.
My screwed up work environment, my colleagues, the anal boss, the amount of work... All that pales in comparison with what God has prepared for me!
Joel... Wake up. It's time to focus... Again. Not on earthly things, but on the unseen. For the things of earth will go strangely dim in the light of His glory & grace!
So all my depression should lift, and the motivation to work return... And my quarrels, should cease. I oughta apologise to Jackson & Mark & Clinton too.
Anyways... Disregard my last post almost entirely. I wrote that in a fit of pique... Yeah well.
Joel.

The end of the weekend.
So fast. Marking the start of a new week, and counting down, 358 days left. I've still got a hangover from the iced coffee and the late nights. Plus the bowling yesterday night. Oh well. Our team won 1st prize, a $100 voucher to Sakae Sushi. Hmm.
And my baobeis are starting to drive me nuts. Sarah Wong's birthday on the 26th next month, 1 trip to Sakae. And Maria wants to follow... Erk. Debs birthday on 30th, to Haagen Dazs, and Sarah Chan wants to follow? Nuts! I'll be super poor already! No more going out, start to save period....
Oh no... Whee. I'm gonna be poor. For the sake of my baobei darlings, though... Anything goes! Grr.

The grand stayover...
Was horrible. Expected us to be staying up overnight talking all sorts of crap, with 2LT Ivan an unexpected but pleasant surprise coming to squeeze in my room along with Kelvin & Edmund... Heh.
And my mother had a fine idea of plying us with iced coffee at midnight. One thing I learnt, though. Ivan can sleep even after he has downed an entire cup of coffee. It took me till 3am to sleep, and Kelvin till 5am. All from the effects of the coffee. Erk. And it was stuffily hot, plus we were gossiping throughout the night, especially about Edmund when he was already KO-ed but the 3 of us hadn't... And then about Ivan when Ivan KO-ed next... Haha.
And we woke up at 0745... Edmund the pig slept till 8, anyways. Sleep earliest wake up latest. And on my bed some more! Grrr.
Well. Had breakfast, and went back to sleep again. Tired mah. After that still got worship some more... And the bowling at night... Incidentally I bowled horribly. Erk. Wasted my $10. And came back rather late too. Gonna KO any time soon. Yeah. Tired lah.
Tomorrow I'm playing basketball! Yahoo. Will end up really really shagged. And Monday & Tuesday there's training. Ho ho. Well done.
Joel.

In retrospect.
It's April already, start of the new fiscal year. And I'm excited at the stuff that God's doing in my baobeis' lives. I'm thrilled. I'm thankful.
My no 2's starting to mature even more like a budding flower. Experiences do play a part, and I do hope that you'll continue to grow even more! :-) Besides being more caring towards other people, and inserting yourself into areas to serve despite high workload commitments... Thank God for that!
Maria's becoming even more sensible and thoughtful too, especially toward her lil girls. Thank God for that too! To be like a big sister- role model figure for them as they start on their Christian walk of life... Wow.
My no 1: Tirelessly serving in outreach, and Dynamite Church, even more so. But I do hope that you do not focus on things around you, though they may just be practical jokes, but keep your head up high, and serve even more. Without neglecting schoolwork, of course.
My no 3: Continue singing! You're getting there... Confidence level building up liao... Well done. Well done.
And boldness in worship always stems from an overflow of thankfulness you have towards God... So soldier on! Heh.
Thanks God.
Joel.

Long day...
After camp, went straight to Maria's house... Missed P & P. Heh. All for the sake of church camp, which I'm not even sure if my leave for those dates can be approved. Yeah. Church camp. With an elaborate surprise for the gala/last/finale night of camp... HMM. I wanna go, I have 75% confidence my leave will be approved. But... Erk.
And what, how come next week's bech outing is shifted to Sentosa, sunny island? That's interesting... Means I can go volleyballing with the rest of the guys in the morning? Heh. Idea... But that means no more Coffee Bean already. Grr. Not a good idea. Irritating.
Monday's gonna be busy, so is Tuesday... Can I swim/run/do static PT? I hope there's time... Erk. And Wednesday... All the crappy reports! Celebration time for a change in Officer-in-Command of my department to albeit a much much nicer one, and I've got drums practice on that day too... I'll hafta squeeze. Somehow.
Maria Huang is still an amusing/interesting character to be with. Heh. Adds colour to my life, just like my other baobeis! I love them all. :-) (Is that considered another testimonial? Hmm... Another idea... :P)
Joel.
